Have you ever looked in the mirror and asked yourself, “How can I find true happiness and success?” It begins with discovering your authentic self, the person you were meant to be. We have piled on top of ourselves layers of beliefs and habits that we no longer need or want. With these layers we have become the person we pretend to be. So let’s get going.

A) Ask yourself these questions

  1. What aspects of your personality do you hope people notice first?
  2. What do you most want people to know about you?
  3. How do you like to be seen?
  4. If you could change one thing, what would it be?
  5. When did you feel so safe without fear or anxiety?
  6. When was the last time you felt so good that time seemed to fly by?

Take all the answers to the above questions and look at them over and over and you will begin to realize who your authentic self is.

B) Allow yourself to relax and breathe deeply. As your muscles relax, it becomes easy to let your imagination run wild.

C) Visualize yourself standing face to face with another you. This you is your authentic self. Take a moment and feel the happiness with your authentic self. Visualize the way you relate to others, how you handle stress and anxiety, your positive attributes and all the passion and motivation to achieve goals and live the life you want.

D) Now go into your authentic self, listening through those ears, seeing through those eyes, and allow yourself to feel the happiness, living life as your true self.

E) Repeat this once a day, visualizing your authentic self. Each time you repeat this exercise, your authentic self becomes stronger until you are now the person you want to be.
