GHDs are amazing hair straighteners, if it’s not a celebrity icon like Victoria Beckham, Madonna, or someone like Gwyneth Paltrow wearing them, then it’s that girl on the bus or the women in the club that gets all the attention. People have really started to take notice of the latest fashion accessory since it hit the market. However, unlike Gucci handbags and Jimmy Choo shoes, these GHD ceramic straighteners are different, very different. Most of the time people prefer to keep a secret why they look so good. It is their special weapon on any particular night to give them that advantage.

With all the current hair straighteners on the market, names like Chi, Sedu and many straightening irons that at first glance look good and appear to have ceramic plates. Only later do they reveal themselves as painted knockoffs that cut and damage hair or simply ineffective promises that make you give up using them or just frustrate you with how they don’t give you the same results they sold you on.

Well, GHDs are different. You generally pay for what you get and GHD is no exception. You could find a pair of straighteners for £ 30, but how much quality do you think would go into them for that price?

GHD, on the other hand, offers:

1) A universal voltage, which means you can take them on vacation to America or somewhere in the UK.

2) They are so practical and effective that you can use them for whatever style you are trying to create. Straight or curly hair.

3) Barrel is rounder than traditional models, giving you more control with your hair.

4) Because the plates are ceramic, the plates heat up evenly and distribute the same heat throughout your hair, making it much more unlikely that you will receive hot spots or damaged hair.

Also now seems like a perfect time to point out what GHD really means … It’s “Good Hair Day”. A little says it all really.

So to use them all you need to do is preferably:

1. Wash your hair first before using your GHD hair straightener.

2. Blow dry your hair for a few minutes.

3. Use your preferred GHD hair straightener on your hair.

4. Optional – Finish by brushing your hair to get the desired effect.

(Also be careful to place them on a heating mat and turn them off as soon as you are done using them to avoid unnecessary drama.)

There are 3 GHD models that currently do it. There are the famous beautiful pink straighteners that support Breakthrough Breast Cancer and for every pair sold, GHD gives a percentage of that to charity. Then you have the slim and wide versions. Both are good in different ways: one more effective for hair details, the other effective for longer, thicker hair. However, however you look at it, GHD has achieved a fantastic record and only hopes to strengthen it in the future. Be wary of other cheap knockoffs currently being sold, GHDs are on the scene and they don’t plan to go away anytime soon.
