Paris is a city that the rich and famous love, not to mention royalty and us mortal mothers, too. Due to the amazing architecture, culture and general style, many TV shows have been filmed there and in some of the most iconic hotels in Paris. Who can forget the moment Carrie said yes to the Russian to move to the city of lights? While Miranda disapproved, we all secretly thought how great it would be if an older lover asked us to move to the fanciest city. For us viewers, it was a chance to see the most sought after places in the city, doing for Paris what the series did for New York. The Plaza Athenee Hotel was our first glimpse of how fabulous her life had become when it became her and Aleksandr Petrovsky Paris’s home. Being a Paris institution, it is a must to see and marvel at the sumptuous surroundings. Remember the scene where Carrie, looking resplendent in polka dots, feeds macaroni to a rather large mastiff bull? The setting is The Angelina Salon, which was also Coco Chanel’s daily stop for a cup of her famous hot chocolate. It’s delicious! And what better romantic setting for our hero Big and Carrie to rekindle their love than Le Pont des Arts, commonly known as the Bridge of Lovers.

Another of the most talked about shows of recent years is Gossip Girl, whose two main stars, Blair and Serena, spent a summer in Paris. La Sorbonne University, in the Latin Quarter, was a crowded scene. This beautiful building is a must when staying in hotels here as it is the most famous in the city. Fittingly, they also visited Musee Baccarat, a private Baccarat crystal museum. We bet Blair made a shopping list here! And there came a momentous scene in the form of Fontaine Louvois, where Blair pushed Serena into the depths of her; she make sure not to fall.

Finally, our favorite soap opera, The Hills, took its two Teen Vogue interns to Paris for the Crillon Ball. From Charles de Gaulle airport, the girls are whisked across the city by chauffeur to a variety of luxury shops before their evening at the ball, which is held at the famous Hotel Crillon. This impressive hotel is definitely on the must-visit list! But the best moment of this episode has to be when Lauren rides around town on a Vespa at night; past iconic sites like the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and the Seine. Why not give it a try yourself with Paris hotel deals?
