Someone tell me if I’m wrong. Among the large number of products derived from Pokémon, there is still no Pokéball. This should be a no-brainer. How can any Pokémon collector and trainer go about their business without a Pokéball? It just makes sense to have one; one that you can throw away without breaking things, I might add.

The problem with a Poké Ball is that you need a Pokémon to live in it, and it would be great to throw your Poké Ball and have a stuffed animal jump out. Unfortunately, even in our high-tech age, such things are still very low-tech and would consist of a spring-loaded jack-in-the-box contraption and a flat-falling stuffed toy. I doubt it’s popular.

I’m not sure how that aspect of the Pokeball could be fixed, but among all the people who work with Nintendo I know that there is enough imagination to think of something. The simple solution I have is this: convert the Pokeball collection? in a kind of Pokémon card game. That is, inside the Pokeball, it has 6 to 12 layers of images of different Pokémon of different strength. Make sure each Pokéball is made randomly so they are all unique. Each time the Pokéballs are thrown, the image changes and the battle is won or lost depending on the strength of the Pokémon that appear. Not the best idea in the world, I know, but I’m telling you, I really think kids are secretly clamoring for a Pokéball and it would be a huge hit in the marketplace.

Speaking of the market, inside the Poké Ball you could start adding Pokemon Black and White monsters, because Pokemon Black and White is what’s really popular right now. My son has black and white Pokemon plush toys (stuffed toys) and he loves them so much he even sleeps with them. He is also a maniac of the black and white Pokémon card game and collects the new black and white cards whenever he can. He also has a black and white Pokémon Zuken figure, but he much prefers the soft stuffed animals.

Speaking of soft, and going back to Pokéballs, I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I gave my son a Pokeball nickname that’s like a dye, but has softer edges. I sewed different Pokémon faces on each side, and now he can play a game of dice with something that’s ‘something like that’ like a Pokéball. If any of you kids are reading this, go ahead and ask Nintendo for a Pokeball. If you’re a parent and you want to be a hero, you can too.
