However, one of our favorite combo appliances is water dispensers with built-in ice makers.
We’ve all heard of the many health benefits associated with drinking sufficient amounts of water. Water forms an important part of the constitution of our body, it is essential for our survival and ensures the proper functioning of our bodily systems. As such, water dispensers are a great way to ensure you’re drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. NewAir’s AI-300S dispenses chilled water and includes a built-in icemaker that produces crushed and cubed ice in a matter of minutes – perfect for icy drinks in the summer!
Our product team got to test drive this great ice maker and we were amazed at its features and performance. In fact, we used it during our monthly company party and everyone was impressed with its design and how quickly it produced ice.
First impression:
When we unboxed the NewAir AI-300S ice maker and water dispenser, we really liked its sleek and compact design. It sported a modern-looking silver finish with a user-friendly control panel. Also, although it weighed about 53 kilos, due to its cubic design it fit without problems on our kitchen counter. The NewAir AI-300S was very well packaged with plenty of insulation, and the unit had no dings or blemishes when it was unwrapped. Included with the AI-300S was also an easy to understand instruction manual.
water dispensing:
The NewAir AI-300S gave us perfectly chilled 39°F water, and best of all, we appreciated the fact that it could accommodate both bottled water and a direct connection to the water line. The direct connection to the line was easy to install and a filter net, a drain plug for easy emptying, as well as a water level indicator were also included. For ease of maintenance, the NewAir AI-300S portable ice maker and water dispenser also had a self-clean button.
Ice Making Capacities:
The hallmark of the NewAir AI-300S Portable Ice Maker and Water Dispenser was definitely its ability to make ice. The unit produced two types of ice, crushed and cubed, in just ten minutes. One hundred ice cubes could be produced per hour, and this equated to approximately 26 pounds of ice in one day. Also, when we opened the front lid, we found that the ice basket was deep enough to store 1.65 pounds of ice at a time. This was more than adequate for our needs.
Overall, we really liked the NewAir AI-300S Portable Ice Maker and Water Dispenser. If you like ice in your drinks and want the convenience of also having your own water dispenser, this one does the job wonderfully.
